Belize Limitation Act, Chapter 170 (PDF)
The official Limitation Act governing time limits for court actions to recover debts and other claims. Section 4 sets a general six-year period from accrual; section 29(3) can restart the clock on written acknowledgment or part payment of a debt—relevant when suing for unpaid statutory severance.

[2025] CCJ 14 (AJ) BZ — Marin et al v Belize Telemedia Limited. The CCJ held statutory severance can be an enduring obligation until paid where pension benefits did not account for severance owed under the Labour Act. Central to unpaid and historical severance claims.
